The Waveline is designed with a contemporary view on sound, playing comfort and design. In terms of looks, this guitar is unmistakably a Rikkers. The design is therefore derived from our Bodyline and previously also the Flatline bass guitars. The Waveline is not a Strat, it is not a Les Paul, but the instrument combines many strengths of both classics.

Sustain and playing comfort

One of the most characteristic features of the Waveline is its set neck. We choose this stable neck construction à la Les Paul to create optimal sustain. The Waveline’s super stiff neck is always built from quarter-sawn wood, which further benefits sustain and tone delivery. Another advantage of the glued neck construction is the excellent accessibility of all 24 frets. Because the neck of the Waveline does not have a screwed ‘heel’ like a Strat or Tele, but rather a smooth neck-body transition, even the higher positions can be played comfortably. Naturally, we give a modern guitar like the Waveline a fingerboard with a compound radius as standard.

Different pickup configurations

We also like to express the modern character of the Waveline in versatility. In terms of pickups, we always opt for the broadest and most transparent sound possible. Of course, we do not use a standard pickup and electronics configuration for a custom guitar like this. Hotrodded PAFs or vintage-style single coils? Wilder plans perhaps, such as a sustainer or MIDI functionality? We will be happy to advise you.

Fully custom made

Each Waveline is a unique instrument of which there is actually only one. We would like to build this guitar entirely according to your personal preferences with the most luxurious woods and top quality pickups, electronics and hardware. The Waveline is also available with a luxurious carved top instead of the standard body shape. Naturally, this custom guitar is available as a 6- and 7-string and (at no additional cost) left-handed.
